Childcare Vouchers – switch to Employers For Childcare and save money!

Childcare Vouchers are a salary sacrifice scheme which deliver financial savings for employers (who pay less National Insurance) and employees, who save money on the cost of registered childcare. Childcare Voucher schemes are typically managed, on behalf of employers, by an external provider such as Employers For Childcare. We are the UK’s only Social Enterprise Childcare Voucher provider with 100% of our profits invested in the work of our charity, which supports parents with dependent children to get into and stay in work. For every employee who uses our Childcare Vouchers we can help 17 parents identify the financial support they are entitled to. Read more about our social impact here.

Employers can choose which supplier they use to provide Childcare Vouchers to their employees and are free to switch or change provider to get a better service and better value. Typically, the ‘administration fee’ providers charge is a percentage of the value of Childcare Vouchers the employer orders, on behalf of employees, each month. This fee is offset against the National Insurance savings the employer is making meaning employers save money by providing Childcare Vouchers to their employees.

But aren’t Childcare Vouchers closed?

The Government closed the Childcare Voucher scheme to new entrants in October 2018, which means only those parents who are already using the scheme can now benefit from it, and no new employers can sign up to offer Childcare Vouchers to their employees. However, those using it already can continue to do so for as long as they remain eligible.

Why move your Childcare Vouchers to Employers For Childcare?

This means that those employers that already offer Childcare Vouchers to their employees have the option to switch from their current provider to Employers For Childcare as the UK’s only Social Enterprise Childcare Voucher provider and to help them save more money through our competitive administration fees.

In addition to saving money and supporting a Social Enterprise, choosing to move their Childcare Voucher scheme to Employers For Childcare means employers can also benefit from our high quality service (100% of employers rate our customer service as ‘good’ or ‘excellent’). As founding members of the Childcare Voucher Providers Association (CVPA) we are committed to upholding the highest standards in the industry and through our ISO 27001 accreditation we are demonstrating our commitment to looking after our customers’ information securely.

We are a Social Enterprise, but we are a business first and foremost and we are confident that we offer a service that goes far above that provided by many of our competitors. Here’s what one happy customer said about our service:

“Would highly recommend Employers for Childcare, an excellent childcare money saving scheme that is very user friendly to process, with helpful, knowledgeable staff there to assist with any questions.”

How do I switch to Employers For Childcare?

The good news is, it’s easy! Most people are familiar with the process for switching banks, and just like the banks take care of everything, so do we. From the moment an employer speaks to us they will have a dedicated support to guide them through the simple switching process within a timeline that works for their organisation. In addition, we will provide any support their HR/payroll team may need to help administer the scheme via our easy to use, secure, online eVouchers portal. It’s that simple.

Here’s what one employer, who made the switch recently told us:

“As well as being a social enterprise, we were impressed with Employers For Childcare’s strong record on customer service and we found the process of switching very straight forward – the team was on hand to answer any questions we had, and to provide assistance where required”.
