Contract type: Permanent
Contracted hours: 25 hours per week (occasional overtime available)
Working pattern: Thursday-Sunday (includes every Saturday and Sunday 9am-6.15pm)
Remuneration: £14.50 per hour
Conditions: A six-month probationary period applies.
Key Purpose
The Duty Manager will support the Centre Manager with the day to day running of High Rise to achieve our commercial goals. They will be responsible for acting up in the Centre Managers absence. This is a hands-on role and the successful candidate will be required to provide ongoing training and coaching for the staff team and will be responsible for maintaining excellent standards of customer service whilst ensuring full compliancy to our Health & Safety procedures.
The Person
Essential
- Experience in a managerial or supervisory role, ideally in a customer service, leisure, or hospitality setting.
- Experience supervising or training staff.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices, including emergency procedures.
- Outgoing and enthusiastic, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Friendly and approachable with a passion for providing a positive customer service experience.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good administrative skills, including cash handling.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and basic customer management systems.
- Able to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Flexible team player and willing to take on a range of duties including working on the café, reception and climbing arena.
- Confident working to heights of up to 10 metres and physically capable to meet the demands of the role.
- Must be able to work every Saturday and Sunday 9am-6.15pm.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
- This role requires a basic criminal record check (AccessNI).
