Eligibility Childcare vouchers are: Open to each parent, both mums and dads through your employer Not means-tested Valid for all forms of registered childcare, including day nurseries, registered childminders, crèches and playgroups, after-school and breakfast clubs, holiday schemes and workplace nurseries. Open for registered childcare for children aged up to 15 (Special Needs children aged up to 16)
Real Savings The first £55 per week (£243 per month) of childcare vouchers that you receive through your payroll is exempt of income tax and National Insurance Contributions (NIC) This means that you could save up to £ 75.33 per month per month on registered childcare as basic rate tax payers and £99.63 per month as higher rate tax payers Employers also save up to 12.8% on employer's national insurance, *(up to the value of £55 per week)- so it is a win win situation for all.
Double your savings. - With the limit applying to both parents, families can each take up to £486 per month in childcare vouchers which would be tax and national insurance exempt (assuming both partners' employers offer childcare vouchers), a total family saving of up to £199.26 per month.
