Employers For Childcare Charitable Group is delighted to announce that the deadline for applications for the second annual Childcare Works Awards has been extended until Tuesday 14th August 2012.

The Childcare Works Awards have been designed to encourage and showcase leading examples of excellence and innovation in family friendly working policies. Winners will receive £500 to donate to a charity of their choice.

Applicants are invited to provide details of family friendly working practices such as flexible working, health insurance or employer-supported childcare.  There are four categories to choose from: Public Sector, Large Private Sector, Small to Medium Enterprises and registered Charities or Social Enterprises.

Three overall winners from each category will be selected by the esteemed judging panel and will receive their prize at an exclusive business ceremony at the City Hall in Belfast in September, with entertainment from Tim McGarry.

Commenting on the 2012 Awards Marie Marin, CEO, said: “Employers For Childcare Charitable Group is delighted to be able to recognise innovative thinking and excellence in family friendly employment practices. We are looking forward to welcoming applications for the first time this year from organisations that are not currently registered to our Childcare Voucher Scheme.”    
 
The closing date for applications is Tuesday 14th August 2012.
