Employers For Childcare Vouchers Ltd business achievements in the face of challenging economic conditions, won them the Ulster title of Ulster Bank Social Entrepreneurship Business Achiever 2009 at a ceremony held in the Hilton on Thursday 26th November.
Earlier in the week, they were honoured by winning Campaign of the Year 2009 at the annual Slugger O’Toole Awards voted by MLA’s. This was in recognition of the impact they made through their ChildcareSOS campaign, launched in response to Gordon Brown’s proposal to abolish tax relief on childcare vouchers.
Earlier in the month, Employers For Childcare Vouchers Ltd were also named runner up in the Northern Ireland Social Enterprise Awards held in Stormont on Social Enterprise Day, Thursday 19th November.
In September Employers For Childcare Vouchers Ltd were the first and only organisation in Northern Ireland to pass strict criteria to achieve the prestigious ethical business award ‘Social Enterprise Mark’. The Mark is an instantly recognisable label to identify social enterprises; helping to create benefits and people and planet.

2009 has been a launch pad for Employers For Childcare with 2010 promising to propel them further.
