(CIPD) is to celebrate workplace excellence this year by sponsoring 'The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work for' list.

The awards - to be handed out at Battersea Evolution on 28 February - recognise the most inspiring and progressive workplaces as rated by their employees.

Geoff Armstrong, director general of the CIPD, says:

These awards recognise those organisations who have achieved high levels of employee engagement; the key to sustainable business performance and the attraction and retention of talented and committed people.
