Set-up guide for external childcare providers - Wrap-around childcare in schools

• Audit childcare needs of parents to check feasibility of setting up facility
• If feasible contact Early Years Team
• Agree terms of rental with the Board of Governors and education board if applicable
• Start recruiting staff
• Hold an open evening with the parents
• Follow up on registration with Early Years
• When registration is imminent and vetting is through, hold induction sessions for children
• Opening Day

It's quite straightforward – any Early Years provider, including childminders, will go through the same procedure when registering their own nursery/afterschools
